Awww hell no not another VS weapon that has its damage tail off. I'm sick of that. Thats why I almost never use the pulsar anymore. You have to be fairly close to use it and thats within the MCG killzone now that the COF has been reduced. Oh well theres my senseless rant.
They lowered the lash size too? Isn't that the whole bonus of the lasher? Its orbs are too slow for direct hits most of the time.

That's not entirely true. Did you see how much biatchin' went on over the n00bhammer on the official PS forums? There was like 10 times more biatchin' over that thing than every other weapon combined.
Yeah, little jackases. I'd get pissed everytime I think of the fact that anyone can have the nerve to call the Vanu overpowered....look at the jackhammer. arrrr.
Look at our pathetic maxes. The only people who use Vanu MAXes either have a lot of skill...or are new to the game and don't know better.
The TR MAXes and NC maxes actually have a purpose.
Its all in the skill...and we have it. But I swear if they nerf the Mag I'll hack SOE's CC and take out their gen.....errr, I'll write an angry letter....hehe.

Our maxes are ok. Our AA max is a junk and our max can never beat a NC or TR max head to head but we can win if we play smart.

I used to use the Quasar and Comet Max's and I racked up nice kills with the Quasar but the Comet is a speedbump to every other max in the game. It does 10 dmg to infantry!!! Thats pathetic. Every other AV max does respectable dmg versus infantry. I eventually dropped my quasar for the mag when the lasher came about because the lasher does the Quasar's job and more with the versatility of reinforced or agile armor. VS max's are kinda pointless right now. It's all about the Mag's and the Lasher.
I agree that LASHER was overpowered.. I can down 2 MAX (NC) at the sametime by myself using Lasher and Surge. I want the Lasher Nerfed. 1!!!!!11!!!
Nerfing the Lasher means that all those lashHammer Noobs will go to TR or NC instead of plaguing our quality players of Vanu. I want to be the underdogs, its more fun and challenging. It force us to pull some 1337 tatic/tricks that make the other empire look stupid.. Because there were so many Zergs with NoobLasher around I can easily take a base by myself just be simply deploying my AMS in teh backdoor, all those instant action nooblasher start to spew out and without second thought, rush into the backdoor.
what the Vanu really need is a Decent AA not some lightshow and a Decent AV weapon instead of an alternate AI sniper rifle.

I think the Beamer is way overpowered. They really ought to nerf that. I think they should reduce the damage on that (maybe they can make it so it actually heals the opponent) and they should slow the refire rate, to a stop.

The first thing I tried in PS was a Vanu MAX. I couldn't figure out why this big slow thing was so good at dying so I stopped so that I could have that advantage of dodging.
I hadn't picked up a HW cert yet and now I guess I probably wont since I can snipe with the Pulsar somewhat at a medium range.
I agree with ISux, although I don't what I'd do if they unsnipered the Lancer. An alternate AV weapon and an alternate sniper weapon would be great.
In a mod I wrote for Unreal Tournament I added a Gauss Rifle, which was like a sniper rifle you had to power up. You held down the trigger to power it and at full charge it was a pretty powerful one shot one kill weapon, but otherwise it was mostly a nuisance. It worked well to slow down snipers and force them to actually try to make their shots.
PS must be one of the few games I've played where the sniper rifle takes 3-4 hits to kill someone.

How this nerf hurts the lasher will really depend on what the dropoff rate is. As long as it retains full power up to med range, it really won't matter. So I can't kill that guy 100 meters out who thought it was a good idea to crouch on top of a hill with his back to me, big deal. When dealing with anyone NOT standing still, I try to get fairly close before I engage them with the lasher, otherwise I miss way too much. (Surge + agile + lasher is workin great so far, and my god is it fun killing NC like that)
Whats funny is the nerf will prob make no differance inside, where the lasher is really powerful, heh.

your right venekar, im usually anywhere to 1-30 or so yards away from whoever im trying to kill. BTW read my posts on the PS boards. the facts destroy the TR and NC like WOAH!
