Heya, guys. There's a group of 8 of us looking for an outfit on Emerald. We were TR on Johari now comming over to Vanu for a bit. (Have played all 3 , seems the Vanu are getting pretty balanced now) What are you're rules for Team Speak? The 8 of us hate it, we don't use it. (See following link)

It's what is driving us from the Pheonix Legion on Johari. If you don't have it you're lost, no one uses outfit chat for anything. What's your guy's policy?

We use it, but we have requirements for it's usage. Basically we ask that our players don't Spam, and only communicate required information while fighting.
We have multiple channels setup for squads so that it cuts down on the overtalk and confusion. All in all we find it to be a very efficient form of communication. But we have players that don't use it as well so we still give written communication.
I myself am generally commanding from the drivers seat of a Magrider when I do command, so it is very easy to use my speak button (mouse thumb button) to relay commands.
In summary we use it, we like it (most of the time) and it is not a requirement. Although we encourage our members to give it a try with us and evaluate it's usage based on that, not on past experience.

We were TR on Johari now comming over to Vanu for a bit.
That seems to be quite the popular decision ever since the new patch.
What are you're rules for Team Speak?
The Teamspeak daemon is run on my server and my only rule is that the password used to gain access to it is not shared.
As for my preferences of usage... please, no screaming... placing your gain at a reasonable setting so it does not causes the rest to go deaf nor have your volume too low where you are muffled... try to keep chat at a minimum when in battle... when you do speak during battles, please do so concisely.
It's what is driving us from the Pheonix Legion on Johari. If you don't have it you're lost, no one uses outfit chat for anything. What's your guy's policy?
We do not demand that it to be used, but it's to your benefit to use it because of a lot will be missed if not on TS compared to outfit/squad chat.

We actually started out as Vanu on Markov, then switched to Johari because our old Beta Outfit was there, but they went TR so we went along for the ride. The outfit is getting kinda well..Crappy. That and there's no one ever on Johari. I like big fights :-) So we decided that we'd go back to Vanu but we picked Emerald this time. It has a decent population most of the time. The 8 of us are just kinda looking around for a new outfit. We had the Biggest one on johari, found out that bigger isn't always better :-( The Lasher upgrade looks like it made it worth having, I liked it before. But it's not the doomsday weapon everyone makes it out to be. I'm more of a pulsar type of guy. I like being a standard grunt. How do you guys like the Lancer? I hear it's damage sucks. Haven't fooled with it yet. Certs Set-up on Johari were Cycler/Striker(of course)/AdvHack/Eng/AMS/surge/Darklight. By the way. Thanks for the replies :-) making my decision a bit easier. I'd also like to say that we are making this move to Emerald grudgingly, most of us are over BR15 so we have some time invested in the characters, but it's just no fun over there. No one to fight. And the Outfits are full of Whiney kids.

Morigu,
Don't let the count fool you we actually have alot of inactives, that we clean at 30 days inactive. We will be back down in number count again soon. And probably half of those still left after the cleaning will probably be cleaned in 30 more days.....
Typically, the active members on our site are the same active members in game.
By my estimation we have 90 active members. About 40-55 of those members play in a given 24 hour period. The peak number is about 30 on average nights. We have only exceeded 30 members in game 3 or 4 times that I am aware of.
It is common for us to have 4 squads going on a busy night. We pad our squads with random people from snac or people encountered in the are of the battle.
For teamspeak....I would recommend using it. Teamspeak annoys the piss out of me some nights, but other nights it makes the game worth playing. I hate it when people yell and all talk at the same time....but I have really enjoyed talking with many of our members during the downtime. So, teamspeak has its ups and downs...but I cannot argue that its not effective. The power of being able to announce to everyone that there is an enemy AMS by the NTU silo and seeing ten of our guys hammer it cannot be beaten. Teamspeak is a tool...whether its good or bad depends on the users. My advice would be to try it out and see if our use of it is acceptable to you.
The other thing you should know about our outfit....a sense of humor is required. We fool around while playing. Its a game...we play because its fun. Often, when we have downtime...such as while waiting at a base for hack to finish, we tend to teamkill a lot. There are knife fights...sneaky boomer attacks, mags mowing us down out of the blue.....it happens and I think its very funny. If that sort of thing is going to cause you to lose your temper and start whining...this isn't the right place. But if you can join in the fun and knife fight like a champ...you'll be fine.
In all, I really like our outfit. We have some great fellows.
I would add...if you are bright enough to figure out what to do without voice and constant direction...I don't care if you don't use teamspeak.
I would rather ten silent guys who can think, than a hundred who need constant direction and yap in my ear.
And for age...older is great. The best sniper I've ever saw in unreal tournament is a guy who is a grandfather.
DeathKiss knows its STEELL.

Sounds good man. I'll be on tonight. Send me a tell and we'll get you in a squad, if you still think we're ok guys we'll sign you up.
If you wanna try out teamspeak, I'll get you connection info. Its in the member area, but our policy is to not give the ip and password out to the public and to not allow non-member access to the member area where the information is posted.
Also, I have no problem with you guys trying the outfit out for a week and leaving if its not your thing...no hard feelings. Some people look at joining an outfit as a permenant thing, but its not. We aren't getting married...hehe.

Sorry guys, just got back from a vacation. Rahl, I'll be looking for ya online, can't say exactly when I'll be on :-P you know..life and all... Oh, and by the way, going from a BR16 TR to a BR 1 Vanu is ROUGH!!!! Not quite sure how to use this pulsar thing.... where's all the bullets flying out from it at uber speeds? And what's up with this Lancer Thing???? It don't lock on or nothin!! :-P
BR1 to BR6 only takes a few hrs on Amerish.. Iklanam 5k, Cetan 5k, Heyoka 5k, Kyoi or Verica 4-5k, mekela 3k Xelas Azeban 2.5k sungrey 5k... that will bring u to BR6 in 3 hrs doing solo
the good thing is that u dont even need to kill anyone.. just sit around in the SOI doing some random shooting at clockers..
Bah, thats a wuss way to do it. You can get br3 by just using the VR area to learn about all the Vanu weapons.
Then, go shoot some people...you'll get the XP.
XP farming from camping is cheap.
Oh, and how many more of the 8 can we tempt into joining the darkside, errrr, outfit?
I played with Venekar a few nights ago. He was a great Mag driver. We tool out lightnings, Vanguards, mosqitos, reavers and AMSes all over North Hossin. I had a blast. I'd love to have more players who contribute so well to the assault effort.
Also, I'll be out of town friday-tuesday. But Wulf, Shamoox, FalshViper, Elana, DeathKiss, Isux and several others are regulars who can also invite you to the outfit. I look forward to murdering together.

Cool, I'll try to keep those names on hand. I've allready talked with HackNSlash from johari as well (Check our his stats) and he's for it, don't know what his Name will be, but I'll let you guys know, one of our regualrs is cuurently trying to finalize a divorce :-P so he may be a while. Another is in DC right now doing training for the State Department, so he's kind of MIA till he gets his official assignment and can play on uncle sam's dime :-P But as soon as I can get the rest of the guys over here, I'll drop you there names. Even though I still have yet to join :-P See ya when I can!
Yeah, HackNSlash got all setup a couple days ago I think. I didn't know he was one of your group...thought he was a friend of Elana's.
State Dept huh? Work in info security for them by chance? I know a guy there. Hehe, I see the ips people connect from during the day. I've seen several ip ranges I know belong in the .gov area visiting the boards...mostly as guests. We're being watched....haha.
Look forward to seeing you in game.

Actually, I'm not sure that HackNSlashn and HackNSlash are the same guy. Sent him a tell that night and he acted as if he didn't know me. Maybe he was just screwin with me.
Blast it, I saw him an hour ago and forgot to ask....
