On my second PC I use to source in gameplay footage and look at porn, it has a 1.4GHZ athlon CPU. In the bios and in the windows system thingy, it says it's only at 1.05ghz. What could be causing this? Thank you.

Go into your bios setting and change your cpu frequecy from 100 to 133

conservative base auto detecting bios self configuration...

never skip the setup screen boy... c'mon now you should know that kind of thing ...

oh btw to make sure your actually setting it right, the windows system screen gets that number from the cpu freq x multiplier

Yeah what he said. I never play with the multiplier. But my experience with amd chips is that 100Mhz is the base freq for a safe/cool running pc and 133 Mhz is highest stable base freq. If you really know how to tweak you can get it even faster but for now just stick with 133.
