Hi guys, just wondering if your outfit accepts part-time players, who might not be on more than about once a month or so? Basically I'm a regular player for the TR over on Werner, and my outfit there has an "evil" version which plays NC, so if I want to have a go with some VS weapons, I have to come over to Emerald for it. So far I've only actually played once, and I really missed having people to work with so decided to look into joining an outfit over here - I always read the "Tango Uniform" comics on PSU, so when I realised you guys were an Emerald outfit, this had to be my first choice to try :)

So, I'm wondering if you have any rules about membership? My VS character is currently only BR4 (called "OnThePurpleJazz" - my handle on this forum is my regular name with my main Werner character), but I'm not a total noob; BR17 CR2 on my main character, and a Squad Commander in the largest TR Werner outfit, so some people must think I'm a reasonable team player (can't say I know why I got promoted that high, but I assume the bosses there know what they're doing ;))

I won't bring in huge numbers of kills, as I'm not a great player, but I'm a dedicated support worker (when I have the certs for it - I don't on my VS character yet) and team player, so I'd hope to be able to contribute something worthwhile when I'm around, even if that isn't very often. Let me know what you expect from your members, and hopefully I'll be able to join you :)

Sure, play as much or little as you like. We have no real rules other than the basic ones anyone would. Well, much fewer really. As long as you're not annoying others, its ok. We play a lot of defense. We're not supoer coodinated. A lot of us have been playing together so long we don't really have to plan and go through TS cahtter about status...we just shoot things and steal land. Its all about the fun.

I play most nights from about 9 or 10 pm Eastern untill about 1 or 2 am Eastern...which is the middle of the night for you.. I'm not sure whether we have people online during hte day.

I'll keep an eye out for you.

Great, thanks! :) Sounds like you're the kind of outfit I'm looking for - my Werner one does a fair amount of serious stuff (organised squads, spec ops, stuff like that), but there's not that many leaders who are good enough to make it work (and I'm not among them!), so it can be more stress than fun at times, especially if I'm in charge of a squad/platoon. It'll be good to just have some fun here when I can make it over.

I'm usually on Werner from (any time from 6pm-10pm) through to 1 or 2am, sometimes 3 or 4 if it's a good night, so take away 4 hours or so and that'll overlap with you guys a bit... I'll try and pop in for a few mins after I log off Werner for the next few nights till I can catch you for an invite. Thanks!

Hehe, very true - it's mostly great fun over there, but things have been stressful lately (new outfit leader, lots of the more experienced players getting fed up and requesting demotions, lots of newer players like me getting promoted into officers positions, and a lot of problems all round), so I'll be glad to have a break sometimes and have some fun elsewhere.

Btw, if I talk too much just tell me to shut up - I'm always a chatterbox in any group I join that seems like it has a friendly atmosphere ;)

When someone cries out "STFU" over your dead body then you know that someone got pissed, otherwise your fine. In game if you are a really annoing chatter, which would be hard to beat some of the other people that have passed through our ranks, just don't do alot of it over TS, use the game text chat.

Hey man welcome. I think i remember seeing your name before. You are more than welcome to chat it up in the forums all you want. Just look at how many posts some of us have made and you can see that its perfectly acceptable in this outfit.
You know we may not do spec ops very often anymore or serious offensives but we still seem to kick ass. I think it is because we have some VERY good players in this outfit who compliment each other very well. Also i think that we use teamspeak in a casual yet somehow effective way.
Hmm a good description of most of us... "a bunch of jaded old SAS/Kelly's Heros type soldiers with a penchant for humiliating the enemy a la hogans hero's style."

Unless you play on Werner, you probably haven't, as I've played on Emerald for one hour, once ;) Though there was a "Buzz" in my old outfit there... outcasters? If that is you, then I'll warn you you'll find it very different next time you log in - the outfit basically split in two last night and almost all the higher-ranked players have gone off to start another one - that's why I've not had a chance to get on to get an invite to here, as I've been pretty busy with the breakaway :?

I will try and get that invite soon, though, I promise! ;)
