phyte, who is trying to coordinate this? If this is all there is to the plan it seems sorta half baked. Its no different that the normal coordination that the Command channel does all the time...as in name a target and take a bunch of people.
It also looks like a plan that will result in us hammering one place and leaving the rest of the world to be overrun by NC and TR.
Unless this gets a little more detailed I think I will watch which way all those floks go, the head the other way.

You know what would be neat. A coordinated assault of say 20-30 liberators and maybe a dozen supporting reavers, that wouldn't actually try to take territory so much as being a roaving air strike. So, what would happen is they would travel from place to place to temporarily provide air support for whatever attacks were in progress. So, if you were having trouble capping a base, you put a call on the command channel, then a few minutes later, death from above shows up.

I meant lib bombs go boom on all those tanks. Maybe not though.
we will need more than 10 pilots. people will show up with libs. and be like dur dur dur and it will be shit cause they'll just shoot us all down. and a 45 mag caravan will suck some ass. 2-3 libs sould bomb the entire line a few times and we would all die. plan is definently as rahl up it
half baked and anyways you gotta think of consequences of our actions on that day. we get a base move to another TR or NC will see it and get base back fucking up links and we will be up shit creek without a paddle. a better idea would be about 35 pilots (10 lib, 10 mosq, and 10 reaver and 5 gal for those all so good hotdrops) an harasser in the ass of each gal with 2 people in it. the mag's would work but splitting them up into groups or 9 or 5 would be a better idea to attack from 5 or 9 different directions on the base leaving the base more or less defenseless. when the mag's are in place hot drop all the gals and the reavers and mosq's protect them from other reavers/mosqs/libs. but before any of this happens the libs bomb the shit outta the base for quick entry. we could also have a few mobile infantry to toy around with.
forgot this too elana good idea but one thing might stand in the way of that "Missle Lock"

Not exactly half baked. Just trying to get themed strikes into action.
The post is variable and ambiguous because, static planned strikes in the past were prone to information disclosure and invariably counter-strike attacks. ItÂ’s not so fun, to have an enemy zerg waiting for you on the other side of a warp gate.
The quantities of resources are also variable and will be ultimately decided in communication channels on the day. Themed strikes have been called for (Not my idea).
Structured plans are in place, but will not be released until in game.
Just thought I would notify you guys thought you might enjoy it.
Yep. Air support in game, is the only defacto defence against Liberators, Once they are at the ceiling there is nothing else that will touch them. The ratio of Reaver/Mags can be modified just an estimate.
Anyways, see you in game.
Have a good one.

No, that plan is half baked....if that. The people leading are not thinking or are not giving enough information for me to participate with this outfit. I'm all for coordinated assaults and would love to participate, but only if I can see the other people are serious about it. This has all the earmarkings of a mass suicide by boredom. I envision people milling about in sanc until somone names a base...then everyone heading to that base and realizing that there isn't much to do....or that they have no link.
The target doesn't have to be decided, but a plan needs to be in place. Unless I see that plan and know our role in it I'm not going to organize any effort to participate. Off the top of my head, I see a few questions are unanswered and which I doubt there is a plan in place for.
How many bases will be hit? Are AMSes being brought? How many men to defend it? Who is responsible for assuring that new AMSes are brought if initail ones are lost? What is the chain of command? Will the tower be taken first or left alone for kill inflation? If the tower is to be taken, how many men will be assigned to the assault? Will they run in the doors or do a gal drop? How many MAXes with DarkLight are assigned to guarding base CC? Who will repair and heal the MAXes? How many infils are going in to scout? Who do they report findings to? How is that information distributed to all others? Will the gals drop people or land nearby? Will the backdoor be used or guarded? Who will mine the gates? How many troops will be stationed to protect the base which gives link? How many teams will be hunting enemy AMSes? How many engineers will lay turrets and motion sensors? What happens if half way through the assault all nearby spawns are lost? Is the gen going to be taken down? Are the spawn tubes going to be taken down? Is the vterm going to be taken down? How many teams will be attempting ANT runs? What sort of AA coverage will there be? Who will protect base if vanguards show up in force?
Our squad leaders deal with many of these issues every night for our assaults. We have led assaults where we answered most of these questions correctly and got a continent for the Vanu because of it. I would prefer to work with outfit commanders as individuals and plan attacks that way. We have begun that process with the Vanu Sovereignty Max Corps and I expect us to do quite well together.
I'm not turning down totally the possibility of joining in.....I just want to get a LOT more detail before I spend my time on this effort.

10:4.
Just thought i would pass the invite.
As with any assault, static plans are/were in place. The dynamisms during an assault however cannot be sufficiently predicted as to lay down full static plans on paper before an assault. Protocols regarding base captures quickly get out of hand if you begin to set in place a fixed protocol for every circumstance. Therefore, we use a loose plan. A set of objectives in priority, each with individual detail as to why the target is of value. Catastrophic fall back plans are also set in place. All of this however is useless, if the human element is not in place, Indeed even the validity of the static plans come into question in some cases drawing closer to a launch date, requiring drastic human intervention.
For example, a plan has been set in place, Alpha/Beta/Charlie plans.
Alpha is cont locked, Beta is an invalid target, Charlie is in a position that the static plans do not cover. In this instance it is neccessary for the cooperating outfits to make a call. All commanders of outfits having equal power in a democraticesque solution. Or what happens to static plans, if a planned group do not show? Or you have a devastatingly low turn out?
If you would like a copy of any of the protocol documents i will mail them to you. (MS-Word format). Could have some ideas you might like/dislike for your alliances.
Anyways. Due to unforseen personal circumstances. This strike has been posponed indefinately.
I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience that I have caused to you guys, and hope to talk soon in the future.

rahl this might be fun if the plans are worth it. like they cover everything you named and have a good setup and these people know what they're doing and aren't just some dumb asses who thought this up outta no where and hope this works. it would be nice to try if everything is in order. it is really up to you and rev to decide and post us what you think of the plans or post the plans and what you think or whatever if you decide to go in. ill be there if we do go with mag or reaver whichever is needed.
