So, in about an hour and a half, I'm going to be leaving for college. Yay, exciting..... whatever. I probably will be on quite a bit less for a wihile, until I get settled in and figured out what the hell I'm doing.

Man i miss college. You think while you are there that it sucks to always have to cram for mid-terms and what not but you just don't realize just how much freedom you really have. Trust me, once you settle into your profession you realize quite quickly how routine and structured your life gets.

I am not saying school is a piece of cake unless you are some wonder brain who can absorb info by osmosis from sleeping on the books like my room-mate did.
Keep this in mind though, when you don't feel like going to class and you know you can skip it without repercussions, and you find yourself in the student pub chugging pitchers with your mates, you don't have to worry about getting fired. :?

Well spiffy, its the second day, and I find my roommate sleeping with someone else in his bed! Oh, the joys of being the one who stays home.....

Btw, for some strange reason, my TS has decided to hate me now, too, and gives something called a "socket error" #11004". Someone tell me wtf that means and how to fix it. Now.

I have no idea why or what is causing this. But, I have found if it happens, which ever variant of input you are using; teamspeak.sonsofvanu.com or 216.127.92.30, use the oposite and it works. Why? I dont know.
Now about school. Good luck man. I offer you a singular peice of advice. Dont play around. College is fun and it is fun to be away from home and out from under the restraints that your parents offered, but dont just go hog wild. Enjoy school for the knowledge you are recieving and not for the amount of beer you can drink in one week. The social structure of a college is unique and eclectic, and by all means enjoy it and get involved. But always remember what you are there for. If you do, you wont regret it later.

Yep, I must agree with Fortunate having done the university thing for like 9 years in all. It is all about earning power and your future. Have fun but get the grades in your choosen field. You'll live a better life and retire comfortably.
Ahhh...I remember those days at the Student Union drinking 25cent drafts...eating chili dogs at 2am after studying...yep...good times that quickly go to the past and then you find yourself in a career with no summers off and obligations...
....checking stock portfolio now sipping $50.00 Merlot, yep life is good...
hey woman...come over here now...!

Now I'm getting pissed off. For some reason, the connection in my room just keeps going out. And no one is doing anything about it!!!
DAMN BUREAUCRATS!!! I HATE THEM ALL!!!
In any case, I've been pestering anyone and everyone in the Residence Hall computer lab in attempts to force them to come to my room and fix the damn machine.

Typically it is best to calmly summarize the problem stating very clearly that the consequence of unreliable computer access is a disruption of your education as well as possibly a violation of the University's obligation to provide you a service.

Well....I submitted a "computer malfunction ticket". That basically means, that within 7 days, some guy is going to call my room to see if I'm home, then come up and look at the damn thing. They claim my port was disabled because I have a virus.... Whatever. I'm 48th in line....so the guy said it will be about 2 days, meaning sometime wednesday. In the mean time....I'll be comitting suicide. As well as most likely be on the forum here....alot. Because i'll have nothing else to do, since I'm using the crap-tastic Computer center computers.
