i got promoted at work.

my new job:

installing and maintaining a set of gameservers on a pair of dell servers running linux.

do i know linux?

nope.

but more importantly, i'm looking for cool stuff to do with my ut2k4 server. i'll have apache and php at my disposal, and 6gbps on each machine. 4gb ram in each; quad xeons at around 3ghz.

it will be public, but behind a packet shaper, unfortunately, so they're gonna throttle back outgoing bwidth.

so, any suggestions?
