Fix me

new computer has an Asus A7N8x-E deluxe mother board and a nvidia gforce fx 5900 ultra video card. on startup a series of vertical lines apear on the screen and when trying to run C&C Generals trackes and holes apear in the graphics... big ones. I've tried tech support at Asus but they've put me on hold for eternity, any thoughts on my problem?

check connections maybe? Make sure its settled in there snug and cables are all connected properlly. Was there anything new done? did you update with a new patch before it went haywire? Or is this brand new G-card running the 1st time problems?

If thats the case it might still be trying to run old card. I had this problem before with a previous upgrade. Uninstall the game and reinstall.

brand new everything, and I've reseated the card twice now to make sure it was in correctly. and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the game.

in teh box for your nvidia card, theres is an install cd you need to run ADM and make sure the MB is talkgin to the AGP port in the correct format, if you still have problems guess what, that card is semi DOA
